Mobile App available to Digital Banking customers with a UK or international mobile number in specific countries.

This service is available to Business Banking customers only. Available on iOS (9 and above) and Android (4.4 and above).

 

How Receipts helps small businesses

Receipts is a free receipt management service which allows you to capture and manage receipts within the mobile banking app. Join the 30,000 customers and counting who have already signed up. Here's a flavour of what Receipts allows you to do;

✔ Store essential information about expenses digitally (expense type, merchant, VAT, total, date and more)
✔ Create reports either in Excel, CSV or PDF to share with your bookkeeper or accountant
✔ Forward e-receipts to a dedicated Receipts address

Get started with Receipts

I do have the mobile app

1) Log in to your mobile app
2) Switch to 'Business' at the top of the page
3) Select 'Manage Receipts'
3) Create a passcode 
4) You're ready to start capturing Receipts!

You'll need to download the mobile app to get Receipts. Once you're set up and ready to go, follow the steps on the left to get started.

How do I use Receipts?

Receipts allows you to photograph and email your business receipts and digitise them using the mobile banking app. 

How to capture and manage receipts on your phone

Registering for Receipts
Guide to registration

1. Log in to the Royal Bank Mobile App, select Business at the top of the screen

2. Select Manage Receipts

3. View the Terms and Conditions then either Accept or Cancel

4. Create a password

Congratulations, you now have access to Receipts!

 

Capturing Receipts
Guide to capturing receipts

1. Log in to the Royal Bank Mobile App, select Business, navigate to Manage Receipts

2. Select Capture Receipt

3. On first use you will be asked to allow access to the camera, this will allow the app to take a picture of the receipt

4. The app will try to capture the receipt using 'automatic' mode, the blue area shows where it thinks the receipt is. You can also switch to 'manual' mode to capture your receipt

5. Once the picture has been taken, you will be presented with a preview

6. Next you'll see the information captured from the receipt digitally, this information can be edited if required

Transaction matching
Guide to transaction matching

1. Log in to the Royal Bank Mobile App

2. Select the account you made the payment from and go to View transactions

3. Select the transaction you would like to attach your receipt to

4. Select Capture receipt under the Attachment title top right of the page

5. Capture the receipt using the skills you previously learned in the Capture guide

6. You will now have the ability to view the receipt for this transaction 

Well done, you have just complete your first transaction match!

 

Viewing Receipts
Guide to view receipts

1. Log in to the Royal Bank Mobile App, select Business, navigate to Manage Receipts 

2. Select the receipt you would like to view from your captured receipts 

3. You can switch between original receipt which is the photo or enhanced receipt which is your digital receipt

Well done, you've just viewed your receipts! 

 

If you have complete transaction matching for your receipts you can also follow the below,

1. Log in to the Royal Bank Mobile App

2. Select the account you made the payment from and go to View transactions 

3. Select the transaction you would like to view

4. Top right of the page under Attachment you'll have the option to View Receipt

Well done, you've just viewed your receipts!

 

 

Exporting
Guide to exporting receipts

1. Log in to the Royal Bank Mobile App, select Business, navigate to Manage Receipts

2. Click on Receipts at the top of your sceen

3. Click on the Select button and then select those you would like to export

4. Click on export at the bottom of your screen, you will be asked what format you'd like

5. Click on Export 

6. You can send your exported list to yourself
