Ital Logistics moves into new premises to support export business

Specialist freight services company Ital Logistics has moved into new premises in Heywood

The firm’s specialisation lies within the transport of dangerous goods such as chemicals. In fact almost 25 per cent of the firm’s business in export is made of such goods. As sponsors of the Chemicals Northwest Awards in March 2015, the company continues to expand within this sector

The business has enjoyed a steady period of growth with annual turnover rates of £6.3m in 2012, £7.5m in 2013 and £9.3m in 2014.

Ital Logistics was founded in 2000 and following this move, now employs 25 people – a figure which is expected to rise to up to 30 in the months ahead. The business recently moved its banking arrangements to NatWest.

Phil Denton, managing director of Ital Logistics, said: “We had been residing in third party premises in Sharston, near Wythenshawe, and simply reached the point where we needed to increase space, both office and warehouse, and also yard space for the growing number of trailers coming in and out on a daily basis. Our relationship manager Mike Clarke was able to come up with a funding solution which contributed to facilitating the move and allow for us to continue pursuing business growth opportunities.”

Mike said: “I was delighted to support Ital Logistics with this funding agreement. It’s a well-established business with a strong portfolio and I look forward to working with the business in the future.”
