Bank account fraud - including cheques, payments or debit card transactions

Do you suspect that you've been the victim of fraud - or have you noticed any suspicious transactions on your Royal Bank of Scotland account?

You can report this to us by telephoning 0345 300 3986 (Monday to Friday 8am-8pm, Saturday 8am-6pm and Sunday 9am-5pm) or by contacting one of our branches.

Credit card fraud

If you need to report fraud in relation to a credit card, you should telephone 0800 161 5164 (24 hours a day).

Report suspicious emails and scam

Fraudsters often send random emails pretending to be from banks.

If you have received a fraudulent or suspicious email, and not responded to it, please forward the e-mail to

Report a suspected scam

Remember, if an offer appears to be too good to be true, it usually is - don't respond to any unsolicited communication which promises money in return for you making a payment and if someone is claiming a refund from you make sure their payment cannot be returned unpaid before releasing funds.
