Turning a passion into a business : Balance me
Rebecca and Clare were tired of spending their lives working long days for someone else. Hence, they combined their expertise in the beauty industry with a family entrepreneurial spirit to create Balance Me.
Launching a new skincare brand however requires guidance as well as funding. This is where their NatWest Relationship Manager Jonathan stepped in to help. He didn’t simply sort out the finance, but also introduced Rebecca and Clare to contacts who went on to really help their business. In the process, Jonathan turned from being simply their Relationship Manager, into a friend and client too.
Specialist law firm pursues its growth and development aspirations
Roberts Jackson Solicitors offers legal services to those suffering from work-related occupational diseases. They have recently secured a £5m finance package from NatWest to support the firm’s future growth and development aspirations.
“We are committed to providing access to justice for our customers and continuing to build upon and grow a business which puts its customers at the heart of everything that we do. In shaping the new facility to suit our needs, our Relationship Manager Nick Leeland and his team convinced us that they were the best partner for the next stage in our development as we look to build upon our market-leading position. This deal also underlines the firm’s strong performance this year and its exciting plans for future growth in an ever-changing regulatory market.”

Care home provider expands fast
Black Swan International operates 15 private care homes across Norfolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire. They recently secured a significant seven figure sum from NatWest to help them acquire two care homes as part of their continued expansion plans.
As with the rapid expansion of any company, finance has played the key part in helping Black Swan achieve their ambitions for growth.
“The NatWest Healthcare team have a real understanding of the sector and their local knowledge has proved invaluable to us. Their knowledge of our business and the funding they have provided has enabled our business to grow significantly over the last three years with the purchases of three new care homes, extensions at four homes and funding already approved for future purchases.”
Tom Lyons, Managing Director Black Swan International
“We are proud to support this successful regional care group (…). While pressures continue to build in the industry, Black Swan is one of a number of established care operators who are leading the way in providing quality care homes to the area and creating jobs locally. It has been fantastic to see this wonderful environment in action and most importantly meet its residents.”
