Royal Bank of Scotland has a strong heritage supporting community-based businesses.

The Royal Bank of Scotland has invested £10 million to provide extra Community Business Loans to organisations that find it difficult to access mainstream finance.

The new investment into the bank's social finance charity, formerly known as the Royal Bank of Scotland Micro Finance Funds, coincides with the name change to Royal Bank of Scotland Social & Community Capital (S&CC).  The Community Business Loan was created and is managed by the independent charity Royal Bank of Scotland Social & Community Capital (S&CC) set up by Royal Bank of Scotland in 1999.
